The covid-19 pandemic
has presented unique challenges for all of us.
At the heart of New Way Agencies’ covid-19 response is always the
health, safety and wellbeing of our clients and our staff who deal with you.
We have implemented
the following measures to deal with the covid-19 pandemic:
Regular
monitoring of our Covid Response Plan and the general covid-19 situation
to determine how this will impact the supports we provide to you
Communicating
with you, as and when any situation changes, that could impact you and the
supports we may provide to you
Comply
at all times with directions and policies issued by Queensland Health and the
federal government, including directions that apply directly to the disability
sector
All
NWA staff are fully vaccinated for covid-19 (which will include any booster
shot whenever staff are eligible to receive this
All
NWA staff are required to wear an appropriate face mask at all times while on
shift with any client. Staff may also be
required to wear other personal protective equipment depending on the covid-19
status of a client
Only
fully vaccinated persons (including any service providers to New Way Agencies)
are permitted onto our business premises at 55 Martinez Avenue, West End
Entry
to our business premises is only possible through our front entrance which
allows us to actively monitor the check-in process for all visitors
Strict
notification procedures are in place with our staff for them to notify us if
they test positive for covid-19, are identified as a close contact, have
undertaken a RAT or PCR test or have recently been in a high risk environment
or think they may have been exposed to covid-19
Refreshed
training for staff in infection control and hygiene procedures (including the
proper use of personal protective equipment
Asking
you as our clients to help us prevent the spread of covid-19 by telling us
immediately if you have any symptoms of covid-19, you have tested positive for
covid-19, you are identified as a close contact, you have undertaken a RAT or
PCR test or you have recently been in a high risk environment or think you may
have been exposed to covid-19
Putting
in place and monitoring a Covid Safe Management Plan as required by
Worksafe Queensland, to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff,
clients and any visitors to our business premises
A
reassessment of what centre-based activities we can safely provide at our
business premises
Density
limits imposed at our premises whenever we have clients who may meet there as a
group
Increased
cleaning, sanitisation and ventilation at our business premises including
before and after any centre-based activities
